The current business sentiment survey (May 2018) among the Austrian business community in is showing economically healthy and positive results.
While the economic outlook for Japan as such (above graphic) is a picture of stability with some improvement ahead both for the next six and twelve months, Austrian related businesses see their own future a lot brighter.
Sales and profits are forcasted to rise with a particularly positive outlook over the next six months.
It is therefore little surprising that all surveyed business either plan to at least sustain current business levels or (70%) increase current levels.
Regarding the effects of the newly concluded EU-Japan Free Trade Agreement, more than half of the respondents expect some or very strong positive effects. However, roughly 45% do not expect an immediate impact.
